PIT-UN is honored to announce the third annual Network Challenge grantees. With nearly $12 million in grants awarded since the Challenge’s inception, this year’s crop of grantees affirm our commitment to a sociotechnical education for leaders emerging from colleges and universities.
These 31 projects prioritize connecting in class learning with their real world applications to ensure the safety and security of some of our most vulnerable communities. With each student club, justice lab, and internship program created, the Network strives to offer models of public interest technology programming that can be scaled across your institutions. They harness the talents of computer scientists, engineers, data scientists as well as social workers, journalists, ethicists, lawyers, and artists to develop policies and services that serve others across multiple sectors.
