At CEPI, we see synergy and opportunities to insert it in our theoretical and practical initiatives that include empirical research, teaching activities, and hybrid projects that come both fronts. Some examples of previous and current initiatives from our center are related to Internet governance and its social, technical, and political aspects; training of educators in Digital Human Rights; research and teaching projects related to the governance of artificial intelligence, future of work, hate speech and misinformation, leadership and innovation in legal organizations, privacy and data protection, encryption among others. In all of our projects, we seek to engage with public and private stakeholders and multistakeholder institutions towards the development of technical, emotional, and social skills in our students and researchers guided by ethical, diverse, and multidisciplinary thinking regarding responsible innovation in technology and law. Specifically, regarding teaching experiences, we highlight our main goal within all projects that is to create differentiated teaching spaces for students, based on the principles of experiential learning, team-based learning, and project-based learning. Our mission is to train professionals capable of dealing with the future, stimulating notions of Human Rights, and seeking to train leaders capable of carrying out positive social changes based on the relationship between law and society. Because of this, we are very interested to share our experience and learn from the network on the “curriculum and faculty development to enable interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary education of students” and on the development of experiential learning initiatives oriented by the PIT framework within other opportunities.
